"Get them today or I'll just have to kill them all" were the words spoken to us by a Glenwood man who was asking us to take in a litter of puppies that were at his home. It seems a pregnant stray dog had appeared at this man's home s couple of months earlier, had a litter of pups and the man wanted all of the dogs off his property that day. When informed that killing the dogs would be illegal, the man simply stated "I don't care what the law is", He also stated that he "loved" dogs but since his last dog had been hit by a car, he'd rather just kill any strays rather than "end up heartbroken over another dead dog". While we were able to catch the entire litter of 8 puppies, the mom proved to be very elusive and was never caught. 

Little Sister was the hardest of the litter to catch as she kept running under, around and over a log pile, determined not to be caught. And while she was, at first, terrified and somewhat resistant to our offers of friendship, she was the first to shed her fear of people and quickly became very people orientated. Her friendly, playful personality will make her a great addition into a well-balanced home. 

As of April 9, Little Sister has received 2/3 of her first year puppy vaccines with a final vaccination being due on April 30. She's also received her rabies, been de-wormed, treated against parasites and started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. A microchip will accompany her adoption.
