Shultz was discarded to Soco as an older boy about two years ago.  The man that let this wonderful boy go said to us "If you don't take him, I'll chase him off with a big stick".  He also said "I'd take him to the place that can euthanize him but I don't want to pay the $25".  So you can only imagine the hellish life this sweet boy has had for most of his life.  Shultz does not display any anger or hostility towards anyone though.  To know him is to love him, he's a big, lovable teddy bear.

Schultz settled in pretty fast and quickly caught the interest of a young couple.  They decided to foster him and determined he was wonderful with adults, children and other dogs.  The only problem they had was that Schultz does not seem to like cats.  They had a cat and it did not work out well, so he therefore was returned back to Soco.  

Schultz has been with us ever since and is now around 10-11 years old.  We do not want to see him spend his golden years at our rescue.  We want him to go to a home that he really deserves and be surrounded by love.  Being a big boy with a lot of fur makes Schultz a big, cuddly sweetheart.  Anyone can go up and hug him and he eats it up.  He's a gentle, sweet boy that is very easy going.  

Schultz walks well on a leash and has down all basic commands.  He is current on all his vaccinations and he is neutered.  Schultz is current on all his monthly preventatives and he tested negative for heart worms on 12/10/15.
