Description:

**Vicki is currently being foster with 2 other older labs and settled in right away.  Her foster parents love her and feel she would make a wonderful pet.  She gets along with most dogs but would need to have a proper introduction when meeting any new dog.  She has been through a lot & deserves the best!!**

Vicki was surrendered to us as a pup about six months of age.  She was traumatized and in terrible condition as she had a very bad skin condition with a lot of missing fur.  She also limped on her back leg leading us to believe she was hit by a car.  We took Vicki to our vet and she was diagnosed and treated for Demodex mange.  Her leg was not broken and it was determined that it would be okay as she grew to adulthood.  As her fur started growing back and she was properly nourished and cared for, Vicki started to come around a bit.   She was still very leery of people and showed a lot of signs of mistrust.  She never showed any aggression though and we believe she knows we were trying to help her.  After some time passed and as she healed, Vicki’s personality really started to blossom.  She became an extremely friendly dog whose number one priority is to play and make you laugh.  She loves to run around outside and her favorite game is fetch.  Granted she may not always bring the toy back, she really does enjoy watching you throw it and go get it.

Vicki is a Labrador Retriever mix and is about 3 years old.  She is current on all her vaccinations and she is spayed.  Vicki is current on all her monthly preventatives and she tested negative for heart worms on 12/10/15.  She is a large dog and will need to be exercised daily.  Though she is quick to learn, Vicki will need to be house trained once in her new environment.  Vicki has been through a lot as a pup and it has taken some time for her to develop into the sweet, trusting beautiful soul she is now.  If you have room in both your heart and your home to give Vicki the attention and love she deserves, please submit an application at www.socorescue.com.
