The battle to end the homeless and unwanted dog problem that currently overwhelms our area took yet another hit when a pregnant stray was found roaming the streets. With every shelter and rescue already overwhelmed, including SoCo Rescue, this particular expecting mom's future, and that of her coming litter, faced a grave outlook. Luckily, the woman who found the pregnant dog offered to foster her, and the 6 puppies that were born on May 17 if we would help with the vet care and placement of the pups. Ever so thankful for people such as this woman, we gladly agreed to providing what help we could.
Our boy Tulsa comes from this litter and has quite the personality. Being playful, friendly and well-socialized towards people, Tulsa has what it takes to become a treasured member of just about any family. He plays very well with other pups and isn't shy at all about making new friends.
As of July 28, Tulsa has received 2/3 of his first year "puppy" vaccinations with his last vaccine due on Aug 18. He's also been de-wormed, treated against parasites, received his Rabies and Bordatella vaccinations, started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He will come with a microchip too. His adopter must agree to having Tulsa neutered once he reaches 6 months of age and providing SoCo Rescue with verification of such.
