When a family moved from their home, they left behind a number of dogs and puppies, which included Hobbs, a female Bulldog and her puppy (Robbie). Had it not been for the dedicated efforts of a very compassionate woman, all of the dogs left behind would have been surrendered to an already overcrowded animal control that has a high euthanasia rate. This woman also agreed to foster Hobbs, Robbie and her mom while we got them ready for adoption and could get them into SoCo Rescue. Unfortunately and at no fault of the woman fostering them, Robbie's mom met an untimely death after being bitten by something that caused her to suffer internal bleeding. 

At first, we thought that Hobbs was a sibling to Robbie, but our vet determined that their age difference was such that there was no way they could be related. So it must have been Hobbs super friendly personality that won over Robbie and her late mom. He loves playing with other pups, will snuggle up with anyone that's willing to let him and has a very cheerful demeanor. He also loves playing in a doggy pool and, in case you've not noticed, has the cutest ears around! Hobbs has the makings of becoming a very special friend to some very lucky person.

Hobbs has already received all of his first year "puppy" vaccinations, de-wormings and even neutered. He's also been kept up to date on his monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives and also tested negative for heartworms during his recent vet examination. He will require additional house and leash training, which should come very easily as he appears to be very intelligent. Hobbs will enjoy being an inside dog but also loves his "outside" time, so a home with room for him to run and play would be best.
