Little Miss Penny showed up near the foster’s home as a terrified stray. She was starving and covered in ticks, obviously on her own for quite some time. She was so scared that she didn’t even move for the first two days after she was rescued. She would eat a bit and cower in the corner of her kennel. 

After two weeks with the foster family, Miss Penny healed from her trauma and is now a sweet, playful, happy little girl.  Penny loves all people and animals. She loves to play with the other dogs at the foster home and she even gets along well with the kitties, though they do not usually want to play.

Penny is approximately 6 months old and seems to be a Mountain Cur mix; she will be a medium-sized dog when fully grown (35 to 40 pounds).  She is affectionate, submissive, and playful. She has already learned some basic commands and is doing well with routine. 

She is spayed and has received all vaccines, de-worming and has been started on monthly preventatives.  Tested heartworm negative.
