Here foster mom writes - Katie was adopted as a puppy but it just wasn't the right fit.  Now that she is here, we are learning daily what is best for Katie and what is needed for her success.  Katie is house-trained and crate trained and generally walks well on a leash (until there is a squirrel in sight) and continues to do better each day.  Katie LOVES to play.  She would be great with a large male who loves to wrestle and run.  She has met her match on many doggy dates and comes home tired and hungry.  Since she is still a puppy, she has some energy and is learning manners but she is treat motivated so that makes training easy.  In addition to a playmate, Katie would like a confident dog owner that could continue her training and help her to grow-up.  Please give this fun-loving adventurous girl a chance.  She has lots of love to give and will steal your heart!

Dublin, GA woman contacted SoCo Rescue seeking help in placing a litter of pups that a stray female dog had at her house. This was the second litter from this stray dog, but due to the overwhelming problem that all rescues/shelters in the south are currently facing, including SoCo Rescue, no one was able to assist with the first litter. Eventually the woman found help in placing all but one of the first litter and that pup, along with the mom, are still at the home. Thanks to a grant provided by Fix GA. Pets, we are now able to have the mom and older pup spay. The woman is going to offer at least a temporary home, if not permanent, to both of the dogs.

While the mom appears to be Lab mix, we're not positive who the dad was or his breed. What we do know is that, thanks to the woman and her daughter. this litter has been well socialized towards people. They love to play and re very affectionate, loving to snuggle up to people. Of course the pups will require all of their basic training.

Katie is up to date on vaccines, preventatives and is spayed.  She will need some training but is a quick learner.
