**Adoption Pending**
Scarlett and three of her puppies came to our rescue as owner surrenders. We were made aware of Scarlett's need for help after being contacted by another rescue group, who asked if we could help get them to safety. Scarlett's former owner suffered from various mental disabilities and didn't have the mental capacity nor the financial means to properly care for her or her puppies. In fact, one of Scarlett's pups mysteriously died after receiving a "bump on her head", according to the former owner. And while the owner was adamant about keeping one pup, we were successful in getting the owner to release the three remaining pups. 

Scarlett is a very friendly medium-sized Bulldog mix who becomes friends rather quickly with everyone she meets. She loves interacting with people, has never shown any signs of aggression and even extends her friendly disposition towards other dogs. Her compact size makes her an excellent choice for anyone looking for a larger breed dog that isn't large! Scarlett will bring many smiles to your heart with her loving and attentive personality.

Scarlett has now been spay, received a renewal of all of her yearly vaccinations, been de-wormed and started on her monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. She also recently tested negative for heartworms and received a clean bill of health from the vet. A microchip will accompany her adoption as well. While Scarlett's former owner stated she was house train, her adopter should be prepared to offer her more training.
