**Butter will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills in Pennington, NJ over the Sept 29-Oct 1 weekend**

It's kind of ironic that Butter and another female dog (presumed to be her daughter, Olive) decided to seek shelter at a women's rehab facility on our area. While the staff and residents of the facility gave the two dogs temporary shelter and a lot of love, the facility's policy prohibits dogs from being on the property so they asked SoCo for help. The pair of dogs were at the facility for 2-3 weeks before a spot opened up at our rescue and luckily we were able to get them in just before hurricane Irma hit our area. 

We're not exactly sure what Butter's breeding is but assuming that there's some type of Lab mixed in. She has the head and face of a Lab but her short legs remind us of a Bassett, Beagle or even Corgi. Whatever mix she consist of, she is one very sweet and affectionate girl.

Butter is very people friendly and appears to have recently been someone's house pet. She shows signs of being very well house trained and walks excellent on a leash. She will bark at other "strange" dogs but seems to get along with them once she gets accustomed to them. She will chase a cat so we don't think a home with cats would be good.

Butter has been fully vetted and even recently tested negative for heart worms. She appears to be in excellent health. We've estimated her age to be between 2 1/2-3 years years and she only weighs approx 35 lbs.
