Jagger and his 4 siblings came to us from very irresponsible owner who's brought us many dogs throughout the year and treats dogs as disposable items.  All of the siblings were petrified of people and their new surroundings.  They gathered that pack mentality from their previous "home" and veered away from people as much as possible.  After a while at our rescue Jagger started to realize we weren't out to hurt him.  His first inkling of trust began when he started to take treats out of staff member's hands.  Before that staff would have to throw the treats in the kennel and he would get them from the floor.  As he was gathering the treats from the staff they slowly started petting him.  He would always run away until one day he thought to himself "hey this is nice".  His trust has grown leaps and bounds from when he first arrived to the point where he actually can sit on a staff member's lap.  He is comfortable in his surroundings and knows no one at the rescue will ever hurt him.  Once in new surroundings his fear strikes up again and he gathers back into his shell.  Jagger needs a family that has lots of time, patience and love.  He's come so far from his arrival at SoCo and we feel he is finally ready for his forever home.
