Scruffy came to us from a very uncaring man who was well dressed in a new truck.  The man obviously took good care of himself but took horrible care of Scruffy. When he was dropped off poor Scruffy was an absolute mess.  He had over 20 pounds of feces stuck in his hair and he was filthy. After we cut out all the feces and gave him a few baths we finally saw exactly how handsome Scruffy is.  He is a gentle giant that is very easy going and sweet.  His docile personality and great looks will make him a wonderful addition to any home.  Scruffy gets along well with other dogs and people.  He's a very mellow big guy and extremely lovable.

On Scruffy's most recent vet visit it was found that he has heart worms.  We use the slow-kill method which kills existing heart worms and prevents new ones from forming.  It's a much less evasive heart worm treatment than other methods.  Scruffy will need to be kept on a heart worm preventative once adopted.  Other than his heart worm status Scruffy seems to be pretty healthy.
