Noodles and his brother Nolan were found when they were only 5 weeks old in a box left outside a local store.  Both of them had a lot of missing fur indicating signs of a form of mange. Overall they were not in the best of shape, with scabs, fleas and ticks all over them.  They were both however, still happy and playful, sweet pups.  Both were treated for mange and in some time, they grew all their fur back.  They both now have gorgeous, beautiful coats of shiny black fur.  Shortly after their arrival to Soco, while still under treatment for mange, Noodles and Nolan both began to show signs of Rickets.  Rickets is a disease that causes bones to soften making them grow deformed.  It's primarily caused by lack of vitamin D, and/or calcium.  In Noodles and Nolan's case, both of their front legs were growing outward instead of straight.  Considering we have no idea where they came from or what they were eating before they came to Soco, we can only assume that their lack of proper diet and care was the cause.  We treated both of the pups and in a short time, their legs began to grow properly.  Today, both of the brothers have long perfectly formed front legs, just as they should.

Noodles and Nolan look almost completely identical.  The biggest difference between the two brothers is in their personalities.  Noodles is the more outgoing brother, he has more energy and with make you laugh with his goofy antics.  Nolan is more gentle and calm, he loves to be picked up and cuddled.  Both boys are very sweet, loving and playful.

As of now, Noodles and Nolan have been through way to much in their short little lives. They went from missing a lot of fur and having crooked legs to having grown into two very handsome and healthy boys.  Despite all their problems, their vibrant, strong personalities always shined through.  They both deserve a wonderful home that can give them all the love they deserve.  As of 11/5/15, it's estimated Noodles & Nolan are 3 months old.  Both brothers will be available for adoption on December 1, 2015, at which time they will be fully vaccinated.  Noodles and Nolan will need to be neutered once they reach the appropriate age of 6-7 months.  If you have room in your heart and home to give love to one or two of these amazing pups, please submit an application to www.socorescue.com.
