Blackjack came to Soco a few months ago with an injury on his back left leg.  His leg was limp and it just dragged behind him whenever Blackjack walked/ran.  It didn't stop Blackjack though from running around and playing with his other doggie friends.  Blackjack has a personality that one falls in love with instantly.  He's very friendly and he loves to play and give affection just the same.  His qualities are wonderfully balanced and he would be a joyful addition to any home.  He'll lay with you while watching tv, run around the yard and play, and just be a happy boy. 

Through generous donations of our fantastic supporters of Soco rescue, we were able to get Blackjack's back leg taken care of.  The leg was recently amputated and we were told from the vet who performed the surgery that Blackjack was up running around on three legs with his tail wagging the very next day.  Blackjack has such a remarkable spirit and enthusiasm for life. He exudes gratitude for the help he's received and can put a smile on anyone.  Blackjack is a smart boy and easily trainable.  He is leashed trained and crate trained.  Once in a new environment, he will need to be house trained.  

As of 11/5/15, it's estimated Blackjack is 8-1/2 - 9 months old.  He is current on all his vaccinations, tested negative for heart worms on 10/30/15, and he is neutered.  If you are interested in this amazing little guy and want your home filled with happiness, please submit an application to www.socorescue.com.
