Shortboy a.k.a. Shorty was found as a stray and brought to Soco by an animal loving woman in the area.  Right from the start Shorty was friendly and social.  He's got a somewhat unique look to him in that he face looks like a Labrador Retriever, yet his long body and short legs show his Basset Hound side.  Shorty is an adorable boy who has so many friends he could be mayor of Soco Rescue.  Every time he's let out of his kennel for playtime and goes up to all the other kennels with his tail wagging to greet them all.  Shorty just loves everyone, person and dog alike.  He's a very happy boy and his tail never stops.

Shorty is current on all his vaccinations and he is neutered.  In May of 2015, Shorty tested positive for heart worms.  We treated him monthly with the slow kill method and on his recent vet visit on 1/8/16, we are very happy to say Shorty tested negative for heart worms.  Once adopted, Shorty will still need to be kept on a heart worm preventative.  Shorty is waiting to put a smile on your face.  If you can give him the loving home he deserves, please submit an application to www.socorescue.com.
