With an original litter of 13, Shortstop and his 8 litter mates that still remained were surrendered to us from a property that also had a deceased dog in the yard.  Shortstop came in scared, starving and flea infested with a belly full of worms.  It didn’t take very long though for this happy little guy to gain the hearts of everyone at Soco.  Shortstop is a very happy and active little pup who really loves to play.  Once his fleas and worms were gone and he was properly nourished, Shortstop just blossomed into a very fun-loving little boy.  His look is typically one ear up and one down and is just adorable.  To watch him and his brothers and sisters romp around and play is absolutely delightful. 

Shortstop is about 4-1/2 months old, and up to date on all his first year vaccinations, but will need to be neutered once he reaches the appropriate age of 6-7 months.  He is a Shepard mix and will be a medium sized dog once fully grown.  He will need to be house trained once in his new environment.  If you have room in both your heart and your home to give Shortstop the attention and love he so deserves, please submit an application at www.socorescue.com.
