Atkins was one of the lucky strays in our area as he just happened to be taken in by a family that took great care of him before they asked us to take him in. He also received lots of love from them which helped Atkins retain his wonderful and friendly personality despite the sudden changes he had to go through.

Atkins, who is about a year old and most likely a Terrier mix of some type, also gets along great with other dogs. Since coming to SoCo Rescue, he has enjoyed playing with both younger puppies and older dogs. And he instantly became friends with each member of our staff. His wonderful personality makes him an ideal candidate as a family pet, even where young children would be involved.

Atkins has been fully vetted, his vet visit determined him to be very healthy and he's even heart worm free. He has even shown signs of possibly having some house training skills and does very well when crated but he does need a little more leash training.
