Atlas and his brother were left outside our gates on Nov 4, 2014. The two brothers were running in and out of the road and almost got hit by a number of passing motorist. After one person was seen trying to hit them with his work truck, we took them into our rescue.

Atlas is very friendly towards people and responds well to direction but will benefit from getting more one on one training that his adopter should be able to provide. While he can be assertive at times, he does get along very well with other dogs and enjoys their company. His ideal new home will be one where he has plenty of outside room to exercise. With someone experienced with the Black Lab breed, Atlas should become a well-trained, well mannered dog. What Atlas can immediately provide to his new owner is lots of love and devotion, as is characteristic with the Black Lab breed.

Atlas has now been fully vetted and deemed very healthy by our vet. He has been kept on a monthly heart worm preventative since coming to our rescue and is free of heart worms.
