While dropping off her trash at a dumpster site located near SoCo Rescue, a woman came across two young pups scrounging for food. It took the woman close to an hour to catch one pup but the other pup ran away and hasn't been seen since.

"Frito", who we think may be a Poodle mix, was scared and uncertain when he first arrived at SoCo but quickly settled into a relaxed and friendly mode once he knew we only wanted to help him. He's since shown that he thrives with human contact and enjoys the company of other dogs. While only estimated to be under 6 months of age, Frito seems to do better when interacting with larger, older dogs as other young pups seem to annoy him.

Frito has now been wormed, treated for any possible parasites and received his vaccinations. While too young to have contracted heart worms, he has already been started on a monthly preventative. If adopted prior to turning 6 months of age, his adopter must agree to having him neutered within a specified amount of time and provide proof of such to SoCo Rescue.
