This stunning Brittany Spaniel is Aries. He came to our rescue as an owner surrender after his owner was diagnosed with cancer and felt it best to surrender his dogs. According to his former owner, Aries is approx. 3 years old and is a full-blood Brittany

As typical with the Brittany breed, Aries is pretty energetic but not overly hyper. He will do best in a home that allows him ample time and space to run and exercise. He can also be the perfect indoor family pet as he has shown signs of once being house trained (a refresher course may be necessary), is great with all people and does get along great with other dogs. We've also crate trained him and he'll stay in his crate without being disruptive and/or defecating inside it.

The Brittany was bred as a hunting dog, primarily birds and Aries will "chase a squirrel", according to his owner. We're not yet sure how Aries will be around cats so an introduction and caution should be considered if adding him to a home with cats.

Aries has been fully vetted, up to date on all of his vaccinations and is in good health. He did test "light" positive with heart worms but doesn't show any ill effects from such. We've kept Aries on a monthly heart worm preventative and if his adopter continues to do so, Aries should be clear of any heart worms within 6 mos to a year, according to our vet.
