If a small lap dog isn't your cup of tea, then boy do we have a dog for you!

This 1 year old Dane/Shepherd mix is Alex, a very friendly, extremely playful extra large dog. He came to SoCo Rescue after his former owner realized he couldn't care for such him.

Alex does know his basic commands, such as "sit" and "shake" and seems to be highly intelligent with the ability to learn even more under proper guidance. But he will require someone experienced with training to reach his full potential. Still having puppy tendencies, Alex is just as playful as a small pup but only in a super-sized manner.

Alex has interacted with other dogs; getting along with them at times, at others he wants to be the alpha dog. He's not aggressive, just over-powering when trying to be the "top dog" among a pack. Any interested adopters should have a large, fenced area for Alex to run and play. He has shown an ability to be house trained but will need more work to fully master this art.

Alex is up to date with all of his vaccinations, wormings and such. He will be neutered prior to his adoption and come with a microchip when adopted.
