Ruby's story is so typical for this area: found as a stray, scrounging for food at a local dumpster. She was found with another dog, Trixie and the two of them appeared to have known each other for some time. Most likely both dogs were abandoned by their previous owner.

We have Ruby listed as a Fiest mix, but to be honest we're not sure what her breed makeup really is. What we do know is that this little girl is very friendly and loving, only wanting to please the humans that she is around. Ruby is well socialized and appears to have been living as an inside dog in the past.

Since coming to SoCo Rescue, Ruby has excelled in her house and crate training. She's received all of her yearly vaccines, has been spayed and other basic vet care. She's heart worm free and has been given a clean bill of health.

Ruby will make an excellent companion for just about any family situation. She's non-aggressive, loving and very gentle to those she meets. Ruby also gets along great with other dogs, both big and small.
