This is Magoo, a 6-7 year old Shih Tzu. 

Not too long ago, Magoo was found as a stray in the Atlanta area. The woman that found him tried to get one of the larger Atlanta area rescues to take him in, but that rescue turned Magoo away because he was too rough looking. That rescue told the finder to just take Magoo to a local animal control.

With no other options and unable to keep Magoo herself, the woman reluctantly had to leave Magoo at the local shelter. But this woman didn't give up on Magoo. She contacted a rescue friend, who operates out of another state, and a plan to save Magoo was started. A plea went out asking for a Ga licensed rescue to pull and help keep Magoo safe.

That when SoCo Rescue got involved. Magoo was pulled under our license and immediately signed over to the out of state rescue. Magoo was placed into a temporary foster until his scheduled transport could be made.

But today I learned that unforeseen events now have Magoo still in Ga., stuck in boarding and unable to get transported to his rescue. But the boarding facility can not keep Magoo for much longer.

With permission from the rescue that rights to Magoo, SoCo Rescue is now assisting in finding him a home.

Magoo is described as very sweet and loving. He does have some vision problems, diagnosed as dry eye and may be close to becoming blind.
