Meet Malcolm, a 7 year old Lab mix and one of the most amazing dogs we have ever met. Besides being extremely well cared for by his former owner, he is also super friendly to all people.

Malcolm had been with his former family in Illinois for 5 years, but the family suffered financial difficulties and had to give him up. After no offers by rescues in his area were made, his former family was facing surrendering him to their local animal control, where he most likely would have been euthanized. But after learning how amazing Malcolm was, SoCo Rescue did something against the norm, we imported a dog into Ga. to save his life and help him find a new home.

Malcolm is a big, playful fellow. He does well inside a home but also enjoys and needs his outside time. He loves to run and play as well as relax in the sunshine. He seems to get along better with smaller dogs but is a little assertive towards other large male dogs. Malcolm isn't aggressive to other male dogs but does want to be the alpha dog. So a home without another large male dog might be best.

Malcolm has been fully vetted, is heart worm free and has been on a monthly preventive for years. Other than the customary joint problems that older, large dogs face, Malcolm is perfectly healthy. He will need to be on a joint supplement, such as glucosamine or shark cartilage. He has also been on a monthly flea control for years.
