This is Heidie, the mother to the 6 pups who were all found living in a junked car in  Tallapoosa, Ga. Heide and her pups were taken in and boarded at a vet's office for the last month. Heidie's remaining pups will soon be transferred to a puppy rescue but, unfortunately, they can not take in Heidie, so SoCo is assisting others in hopes of finding her a home.

Heidie has received all her vaccines and appears to be healthy and happy, despite her past. She will still need to be spayed and assistance with low cost spaying will be offered.

Heidie's caretakers at the vet's office describe her as a "doll". She has shown to be very friendly, gets along great with the other dogs and humans as well. She seems to be very grateful for the help that she and her pups have gotten.

Heidie can't stay at the vet's office for much longer. Besides running up boarding cost, the vet's office is not the ideal place for a dog to live. Heidie desperately needs a home of her own or, at least, a foster home until her forever home can be found.
