Beau is an American Hairless Terrier. He requires a person that is Terrier Savvy. He needs a strong leader. Beau is good with other dogs and cats. He would not do well with children under 16. Beau is friendly and out going. He isnt a cuddly clingy dog and he is well mannered. His only fault is he can at times be a resource guarder. This is where the strong leader comes in. If you try to make him do something he is not fond of he will at times snap at you. If you are a strong leader and tell him no and dont let him have his way he will stop this behavior. I have no problems with him because I have always corrected him from the start and never let him get away with it. He has special needs because he is hairless. He cant be an outside dog, (he is housebroken). He will freeze in the winter and sunburn in the summer. I use sunscreen on him in the summer and keep a shirt on him in the winter. He is good natured, very submissive to other dogs, other than the issue I discussed earlier, he is a great dog. Any person that knows how to handle dogs can manage Beau.
