Rocko was saved from the Dublin/Laurens Co. animal control, after he was picked up as a "dog at large", meaning he was running free in the county. Rocko's former owner had notified us that he was incarcerated and that they could not keep him any longer. This was a sure death sentence for Rocko, and he was scheduled to be euthanized.

Rocko is a strong boy. He seems to want to play with other dogs, but does so very roughly. Therefore, we would suggest that he be an only dog.Rocko is, however, very people friendly. He would do best in a home with older children and he is a very active fellow.

When Rocko came to us, he had no training at all. He now is somewhat crate trained and will not soil his crate. He does show some house training ability and may even make a great indoor dog but will need some future training. Rocko is also learning his leash training but, again, will need a little more work.

What Rocko does have in his favor is the amount of love he likes to give to his humans. He always has a smile on his face and seems to desire human contact. Rocko would flourish in a yard that was fenced with room for him to roam and exercise. He loves to be petted. Rocko shows that he is eager to learn, he just needs someone that is willing to give him a little time to do so.

Rocko is up to date with his vaccines and will be neutered before his adoption.
