Maggie was rescued from Floyd County Animal Control in Rome, GA. She is a great little dog who loves to run! She has something wrong with her eyes and we have not been able to figure out what it it. Everything we have tried so far seems to help a little but she still has the "gunk" and it doesn't last. Because of this she is blind but you could never tell it by the way she runs in her pen. She is wonderful with people once she feels secure but becomes very protective and attacts any other animals she thinks are near so she has to be kept separated from the others. She gets her "mommy time" and has put on weight as well as filling out since her arrival so we know that her life is much better than it was, not to mention the alternative. Maggie is one of the pets we have taken in that is like a lot we rescue - she was on her last day at the shelter and had something that made her less than perfect for being adopted. She is coming along slowly but her problems are all physical and we hope to have her available for the right home soon!
