Description:
Lexi is a female Catahoula Leopard mix that was found as a very young pup, along with two siblings, living at a dumpster. The three of them were most likely dumped there by the previous owners, who no longer wanted them.

But why anyone would throw away such a friendly, loving dog is a mystery. Lexi will show her owner lots of love and appreciation. She is a little shy at first, but does warm up to people once she sees that she'll not be mistreated.

Lexi does get along very well with other dogs, but doesn't seem to like being included in an environment with a large number of dogs. She does much better when housed with one or two dogs, maybe feeling threatened by the larger numbers. Lexi does get along great with humans of all ages.

Lexi is approx. 45-50 lbs, and is thought to be just under a year old, as of May, 2010. She is up to date on her vaccines, but will need to get a new rabies vaccine in the county that she'll be living, as required by state law. Lexi will also require spaying.
