When Scott went to check on those pups, which there were about 6-8 pups total, he could only find two of them. Without any regard to the well-being of the pups, some of the residents allowed their children to simply take some of the pups and tote them around. The manager of the park did her best to round up and care for all of the pups, but in the end, only two, Monroe and his sister Miscile, were found. If it hadn't been for the compassion of the manager, Monroe and Miscile would have also met their demise. Monroe wasted no time in showing us just how much he appreciated the efforts to save his life. This young fellow is very affectionate, playful and well-socialized towards people. He loves playing with his sister and other pups. His eagerness to be around people will make him an excellent choice for anyone looking to add a dog into their life. As of June 28th, Monroe has received 2/3 of his first year "puppy" vaccinations, de-wormings and other necessary vet care with his final round being due on July 19. He's also been kept up to date on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. His adopter must agree to having Monroe neutered once he reaches the appropriate age, typically at 6 months old, an providing SoCo Rescue with verification of such. He will require additional house and leash training, which should come very easily as he appears to be very intelligent.
