Description:
***Lucy is currently located at our rescue in Georgia. She is scheduled to be available for adoption at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes, New Jersey over the July 12-13 weekend. An application for Lucy's adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Lucy and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the rescue's number.*** Lucy was found as a stray puppy at a local business. At only 6-7 weeks old at the time, Lucy looked pretty frail, dehydrated and was suffering from flea dermatitis. If it weren't for the kindness of the man who found her, poor Lucy may not have survived much longer. Once under our care, Lucy made a quick recovery from all that ailed her. Lucy possesses one of the sweetest personalities that we've ever seen in a pup. She's always eager to show just how affectionate she is to everyone who she comes in contact with. She's playful, yet calm, gets along great with other dogs and puppies and would most likely do very well around cats too. She'd also do very well in a home with children who know how to properly handle a young puppy. Lucy has already received all of her first year "puppy" vaccinations, de-wormings and even spayed. She's also been kept up to date on her monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives, She will require additional house and leash training, which should come very easily as she appears to be very intelligent. A home that allows her plenty of room to run and play would be best for her.
