Description:
***Max is scheduled to attend our adoption event at the Tractor Supply in Ringoes, NJ over the May 31 weekend. An application for his adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Max and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; please do not call the rescue's number.*** Max's former owner took him into our vet's office and asked that he be euthanized. This request didn't come about due to any illness or behavioral issues, in fact, he was in perfect health both physically and mentally. The only reason for this request was that his former owner simply no longer wanted him. Knowing that Max didn't deserve this fate, our vet's office asked us to save his life by taking him in, which we were more than happy to do. Max is a fun-loving, very playful and friendly dog. He quickly attaches to new people, loves playing with other dogs and has a very happy disposition. Not only did he deserve to live, Max will reward his adopter by becoming a great addition into just about any home. His ideal home will allow him plenty of room to run and play. Max has already been neutered and had all of his annual vaccinations and de-wormings renewed. He's also been kept on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives and did test negative for heartworms. He does know some basic commands, is accustomed to staying in a crate and walks well on a leash. He has some house training but may need additional training once in a new home.
