What started off as a kind gesture by Scott and the SoCo staff, fostering a dog for a couple of weeks while her owner moved into his new home, turned into a case of abandonment. In the two months that Miss Lady has been with us, the owner has not made one inquiry about her or offered any assistance with her care. When Miss Lady first arrived, she was so badly matted that we had to have her shaved down. She also had not received any of her annual vaccinations or other required cared and, while she is very people-oriented, had a fear of being held. 

Since her arrival, Miss Lady has proven herself to be extremely friendly towards people and other dogs of all ages and size. She now is less fearful of being held and loves to snuggle up with whoever wants to experience the love she has to give. Her small size makes her an ideal candidate for living in a smaller home or apartment. Her exceptional friendly and affectionate personality will bring a lot of joy into the home that she gains. She is a very energetic dog so a home that allows plenty of room to run and play will be best. 

Miss Lady has now received an update on al of her annual vaccinations, de-wormings and preventative care as well as being spay. She did test negative for heartworms and received a clean bill of health from our vet. We've worked on her crate, house and leash training, but she will require additional training.
