After a Glenwood family's home was damaged due to Hurricane Helene, they reached out to SoCo Rescue seeking help in re-homing the dogs that they had. Initially they stated that they had 20 dogs, but that number soared to 28 dogs once Scott Bennett arrived to the house. Most of the dogs, which ranged in ages from 2 months to 4 years old, suffered major hair loss due to flea and mite infestation. The worst were the five little puppies who were missing all of their fur, having open, bloody wounds from constant scratching and very anemic. Scott knew if them then they would most likely perish so he took them to SoCo Rescue and immediately began their care. While they haven't regrown all of their fur, the pups are looking and feeling much better and should make a full recovery.
Kasper's very friendly and playful personality will captivate your heart in an instant. This little fellow seems to only know love and has a strong desire to be with his human counterparts. He will do very well in a home with children who know how to handle a small dog. Kasper will fill your home with much love and happiness.
Kasper has received 2 of his 3 first year vaccinations as well as his rabies and Bordetella vaccinations. He's also been de-wormed, treated for parasites and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He will require grooming on a regular basis. We strongly suggest keeping him on Nexgard flea/tick preventative for at least the first 6 months of life then switching to Bravecto as both of those products work very well in treating a number of skin issues. Kasper's adopter must agree to having him neutered once he reaches 6 months of age and providing verification of such to our rescue. Kasper will require all of his basic training. He is accustomed to being in a crate as well.
