Diane is a 10 year old American Bulldog  who came to our rescue a few months ago after her former owner was arrested and facing an extended incarceration. Since her arrival, Diane has been fostered by SoCo Rescue President/CEO Scott Bennett.

Diane has a very sweet, affectionate and well-mannered personality. She's excellent around people of all ages, adores the attention of people and simply wants to be a part of a family. She does get along great with other dogs that are also low-keyed but get annoyed rather quickly by hyper or high energy dogs. She has proven to be house trained and walks excellent on a leash. Diane would make a great companion for anyone, even a retired/senior person, who loves the Bully breeds or simply wants to add an incredible amount of unconditional love into their life.

Diane has been fully vetted and recently had all of her annual vaccinations and such renewed. We've kept her on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives as well, but unfortunately she did test positive for heartworms. At her age, regardless of what any vet may tell you, we do not recommend putting her through the typical heartworm treatments as that can be very strenuous and sometimes fatal to an older dog. We can, however, offer advice on how to best address her heartworm condition.

In addition, we're waiving the adoption fee for Diane, asking only that a donation of your choosing be made in lieu of the fee.
