Description:
***Ramsey is with a loving foster in NJ.  That is where we found out that she is deaf.  She is the sweetest most loving girl that will now need a special home that understands a deaf dog.  She would do great with another dog and no small children. She is available for adoption at our upcoming adoption event at Tractor Supply in Ringoes, NJ over the Feb 17. Applications for Ramsey's adoption should be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Ramsey and/or our adoption event should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com. Please, do not call the rescue's number.

When they first noticed the pregnant black Lab, a married couple was very concerned about how thin the mom-to-be appeared. The Lab was also very apprehensive of the couple, even tho they began to leave her bowls of food. They also provided the expecting mom a safe, comfortable place to deliver her litter of nine puppies. The couple then contacted our rescue and offered to foster the pups if we could find them homes. We gladly agreed but first had to administer the required vaccinations and de-wormings to the puppies. While the pups had a nice, safe place to stay, a medical issue arose with the woman at the home that required surgery and limited the time that the couple could interact with the puppies. Potential adopters should understand that this litter may need a little additional adjustment time once in a home.

Ramsey's beautiful blue eyes will captivate you in an instant, but her wonderful personality will hold that love you'll have her for a long, long time. She's very friendly towards people and other dogs alike, but is a little timid at first when meeting new people. Give this girl a little extra time to adjust and she'll bond with you like no other. Ramsey will do best in a home without a lot of commotion or young children who are loud or unruly. Having another dog to pal around with will also benefit Ramsey.

Ramsey has now received all three of her first year "puppy" vaccinations, including her rabires and Bordetella vaccinations. She's also been de-wormed at proper intervals and has been started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Her adopter must agree to having Ramsey spay once she reaches 6 months old and provide verification to SoCo Rescue. Ramsey will require all of her basic training.
