***Wynnie now in NJ with a loving Foster. Applications for her adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login.) Questions about Webster or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com. Please, no phone calls.*** Doing rescue work, there's been plenty of times I've found myself looking at life and impending death. Sometimes, more than not, it causes me to take stock in my less-than-perfect life, take value in what I have and do my best to make sure that I do all I can for those I love while I'm still here. Such was the case when I listened to an elderly man tell me of his impending surgery to save his life; how despite the surgery being a necessity, with the risk involved, he felt compelled to handle his affairs just in case. Having handled all other important task, namely making sure his beloved wife of many years, would be provided for and not left with problems to handle, he had one last very important thing to do. He stated that he could face the uncertainty of surviving the surgery if he knew that his puppies were well cared for and asked for our help in re-homing them. Without hesitation, we not only offered our help but extended that offer to help provide vet care (including spay and neutering) for their adult dogs, who are also the parents of the pups.
Wynnie's the only female of this litter, is somewhat of a tom-boy, if female pups can be such, as she can go toe-to-toe with her brothers when it comes to playtime. She's also the most affectionate of the three, obviously knowing that a little smile and batting of her eyes, will gain her much love in return. Winnie will make a great addition into any home looking for an active, playful small dog.
Winnie has received all three of her first year puppy vaccinations and her Bordetella and rabies vaccines as well. She's been de-wormed on proper intervals and has also been started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Her adopter must agree to having Wynnie spayed once she reach 6 months of age and provide verification of such to our rescue. Winnie will require additional house and leash training.
