Applications for her adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (no need to register or login). Questions about Bella and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com; no phone calls please.*** We loving having Bella in our home. She is one of the friendliest dogs we have ever met! She meets every (and I mean EVERY) person with a wagging tail and affection. She has a moderaate amount of energy and walks well on a leash (does not pull but does a bit of zigzag). At the adoption events and on walks, Bella shows that she loves other dogs and wants to play. She spends time with our 12-year-old neighbor learning sit. At home, she has been sleeping in a crate through the night and working on house training. Bella sometimes expresses her affection and enthusiasm by jumping and we are working on that too. She would be fine as an only dogs or in a home with another dog that matches her playfulness. After being trapped, Bella quickly became very accepting of the help she was receiving. She became friends with the couple's other dog, also a former stray, and displayed to the couple just how affectionate she truly was. She's since shed any apprehension of people and has remained very trusting of them. She's gone from a scared, very apprehensive dog to one that will make a great family companion. During her stay with the couple, Bella received an update on all of her annual vaccinations, de-wormings and other preventative care in addition to being spayed. She was treated for her skin condition and, as you'll see in her pictures, has fully recovered from her ailment. Her fur is alomst fully grown in. While in foster in GA, Bella she lived with 3 other rescue dogs and got a long jus fine. She was transferred to our rescue just before Thanksgiving as the couple was leaving town for the holidays. Her foster parents love her and are eagerly following her jouney.
