***Snow is currently with a loving foster family in Pennington, NJ. Questions about Snow and/or our adoption procedure should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com . No phone calls please. On the night that Snow showed up at our rescue, she gave Scott Bennett a bit of a scare. Scott was walking a dog and not within sight or sound of the one other person at the rescue. Snow just appeared from out the dark and rushed up to Scott and the dog on the end of the leash. Thankfully, when Snow reached Scott, she assumed a submissive position and gave no resistance when Scott secured her with a leash and took her to an empty kennel. Scott noticed that the back of both of Snow's ear had large raw and bloody open sores on them. It was obvious that the sores were causing Snow a lot of discomfort and pain. While she wasn't extremely thin, Snow did appear to have missed a meal or two and was very thankful for the bowl of food that was given to her, leading Scott to think that Snow had actually surrendered herself to the rescue because she knew she'd find help there. Snow has proven to be very people-oriented and simply loves the time she gets to spend with our staff. She's affectionate, playful and smart. She should do very well around older children. She's displayed both a tolerance of other dogs and a dislike for them as well. Snow does seem uneasy in overly noisy or excessively busy situations, so only calmer, more stable homes need apply for her adoption. Snow has now been fully vetted, which includes having received an update on all of her annual vaccinations, de-wormings and other necessary vet care as well as being started and kept on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. She also tested negative for heartworms during her recent vet exam. Snow may need additional house training
