He has become very good with the group of dogs he has become a little pack member. He is getting better and better on a leash and has been very good with house training and loves his crate. He would be great with other dogs but I believe fine on his own once acclimated to a new home.

Rocky came to our rescue as an owner surrender in May 2022. His former owner had received Rocky as a birthday present in Feb, but had no previous experience with the Chihuahua breed. The owner, a very active senior aged lady, never imagined that the cute and cuddly little pup that she gifted, would end up having the energy of a Tasmanian Devil on crack! She also had difficulty with Rocky's house and socialization training, becoming very discouraged and all but gave up on any efforts. Over the past 6 months or so, Rocky spent a lot of time secured away from people due to his energy level and lack of respect for personal space. In his time with us, Rocky has received been receiving more one-on-one interacting with our staff and has shown some improvement. Once in home that provides him with more consistent training and plenty of room to expel some energy, Rocky should begin to chill out more. He already loves to just snuggle-up in someone's lap and is very affectionate. He'll do great with older children with knowledge of how a small, energetic dog can be. Prior to his arrival, Rocky had not interacted with other dogs. With proper introduction and a little time, Rocky will most likely enjoy having another active dog to pal around with. A "Greet and Meet" with any dog(s) that will share the home with Rocky prior to his adoption will be required. Rocky had received his required vaccinations and de-wormings while with his former owner and since the renewal date was drawing near, the SoCo staff updated any that were coming due. He's being neutered and receiving a heart worm test on July 6 (test results will be updated asap)
