(No phone calls please).*** Stuart and the nine other dogs lived within a small area enclosed by chicken wire and had absolutely no place that would provide them with shelter from rain and a nasty storm about to hit the area. SoCo Rescue President and CEO Scott Bennett was able to convince the man that his best option, at that moment, was to willfully surrender all 10 of his dogs to SoCo Rescue. We are calling this litter the Vidalia 10. From the moment these dogs were lifted over the fencing at their former home, they have begun a new love affair with life! Where there was once hopelessness, there is now joy. And they found that some people actually like to receive the love they have to offer. Thankfully, they are all very accepting of new people, should do fine in a home with responsible children and would love a nice big yard to run and play in. They will need some work on house and leash training. Initially we were told that Stuart was the father to most of the dogs within the kennel, but that's not the case as he's actually younger than some that were supposed to be his offspring. But that hasn't deterred Stuart from acting like the caring and concerned dad. And it's that personality that will make Stuart such a wonderful family addition. Stuart has been neutered, received an update on his annual vaccinations, de--wormed and treated for parasites. He's also been restarted on his monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. He did test negative for heart worms during his recent vet visit.
