Her foster mom writes.. Phoebe is very sweet, friendly and affectionate.    She loves entertaining herself playing with her toys. She still has a little bit of that sweet innocent puppy in her that’s a joy to see.    She loves to snuggle with her human when not resting in her bed.    She will be a great family companion.  She's been enjoying playing and running around with Phoebe and my dogs in our fenced in yard.  She is also house/crate trained.

Phoebe and the nine other dogs lived within a small area enclosed by chicken wire and had absolutely no place that would provide them with shelter from rain and a nasty storm about to hit the area. SoCo Rescue President and CEO Scott Bennett was able to convince the man that his best option, at that moment, was to willfully surrender all 10 of his dogs to SoCo Rescue.

From the moment these dogs were lifted over the fencing at their former home, they have begun a new love affair with life! Where there was once hopelessness, there is now joy. And they  found that some people actually like to receive the love they have to offer. Thankfully, they are all very accepting of new people, should do fine in a home with responsible children and would love a nice big yard to run and play in.  They will need some work on house and leash training.

Initially we thought that Phoebe and Winnie were sisters, but it's more likely that Phoebe is Winnie's daughter, according to our vet. Phoebe has such a tender, sweet personality and loves to snuggle up close with her humans. She will make an excellent choice as a family companion and will be fine around children who are old enough to know how to properly treat a dog.

Phoebe has now been spayed, received an update on her annual vaccinations, been de-wormed, treated against parasites and started on her monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventative. She also recently tested negative for heart worms during her vet examination.
