For nearly two years, an East Dublin family got to enjoy the company of a stray female dog who decided to  take up residence at their home. While this dog never poised a threat to the family, nor they to her, the stray female would come close to the family but never allowed them to touch her. The stray dog got along great with the family's other dogs and enjoyed the company of other dogs, but, again, would quickly dart away if any humans got too close to her.

As is the case most often, when an unaltered stray dog has free range to roam, they tend to end up pregnant and this girl was no exception to the rule. It was during that time that the mom became so trusting in her human counterparts that she gladly allowed the family to not only touch her puppies, she also allowed them to pick up her young babies. Even with this new found trust, the stray dog continued to be very aloof when it came to letting people touch her and has outsmarted the family when they tried to use a dog trap to catch her. Once the pups, who we've named River, Raisin, Reggie and Roxie, were old enough to be weaned, they came to SoCo Rescue.

Roxie is the calmest and most laid of this litter, but is still very playful and friendly. She will make an excellent family companion and should bring years of joy into the lives of her new family

Roxie has received 2/3 of their first year "puppy" vaccinations, been de-wormed and treated against parasites as will as started on her monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. Roxie's adopter must agree to having her spayed  once she reaches 6 months of age and provide verification of such to SoCo Rescue. Roxy will require all of her basic training
