If you're looking for a very personable, funny Bassett, look no more. This girl is both comical and playful, yet loves to just lounge around, as most Bassetts do. SAssy gets along great with other dogs, loves both kids and adults, is house and crate trained and current on all her vaccines, except her rabies. She eats and sleeps in her crate without any problems, and has yet to soil her crate.
We had actually been called to a location to rescue another stray dog, that was never found, when we met this wonderful girl. A bit thin at the time, she came right up to me, rolled over  and smiled as if to say "I'm here, now love me!" Seems her former owners had to vacate the property and just decided to leave Sassy there to live under an abandoned house and care for herself. Once at our rescue, she made many dog friends, as she acts as if she has never met a stranger. With her classic sad, droppy eyes and long floppy ears that get wet whenever she drinks water, this girl is surely to add a smile to any type day you have. She is quiet the majority of the time, but will bark when strangers come to the door. A great breed for children and adults alike, very loyal and friendly. Just look at this face. How could anyone pass on this wonderful dog?
