Other Pictures of Batman (click to see larger version):**ADOPTION PENDING**. This litter is currently in Tarrytown, GA and will be on their Freedom Flight to NJ for our 4/29 & 4/30th Adoption Event at Tractor Supply in Ringoes, NJ.
After a Dubin, GA business owner was made aware of a litter of pups being found abandoned at a local river, she felt compelled to find a place that could help the pups. Almost immediately an employee of the Dublin lady offered to foster the pups until a more suitable option became available. But within a couple of days, the foster's boyfriend became sick and eventually had to be hospitalized, causing the foster to turn her full attention towards being with the sick boyfriend. This meant that the pups were left along in the foster's home and without anyone to tend to their needs. So the businesswoman again began her quest to find a rescue that could help the pups and, again, found that to be a difficult task to accomplish. But then she contacted SoCo Rescue and was able to speak with Scott Bennett. While Scott let her know that there was no space available at his rescue, but that he would do his best to come up with a solution to help the pups. Within an hour, Scott was able to secure boarding for the pups at the Sandersville Veterinary Clinic and offered to provide the pups with the care they needed in order to get them ready for adoption.
The Soperton River pups are all extremely well socialized towards people, despite having seen mostly the bad side of humans by being left alone at the river. Each pup loves to run and play, have interacted very well with other puppies and adult dogs and seem to be very happy little pups. While estimated to be only about 3-3 1/2 months, the pups are all very big for their age, leading us to believe they will grow to be large dogs. We're not sure of their breed mix, but the do appear to have some Lab mixed into their genes. Adopters of these pups should be prepared to offer the pup plenty of room to run and play as the pup grows.
The Soperton River pups have received an update on all of their annual vaccinations, de-worming and preventative care. Their adopters must agree to having their pup spay/neutered once it reaches 6 months of age and providing verification of such to our rescue. The pups will require all of their basic training.
