A local man called SoCo Rescue and reported finding 10 young pups abandoned at a local boat launch. The pups were approximately 6 weeks old, just barely old enough to be away from their mom. The man said he could keep them safe and secure and offered to foster them for us until space opened at our rescue. When a SoCo Rescue staff member went to pick up the pups, the man only handed over four female pups. Asked about the remaining six pups, the man said he "...must have miscounted" the number of pups when he found them. We were never given any other explanation as to what happened to the remaining pups. 

 

Once the pups arrived, we immediately began providing them with care and medications. They were full of worms and parasites and looked to be very hungry. But our staff was able to quickly get them back to great health and spent lots of time socializing and loving on the pups. 

 

Now these pups are healthy, happy and so playful. They love their time with people, other pups and only want to give you love and devotion. Each has received their first year puppy vaccines. They've also received their rabies vaccination, been de-wormed and treated against parasites on proper intervals and started on their flea/tick and heartworm monthly preventatives. Recently altered.  They will require all of their basic training.
