Iris and her son were found as a strays by a family in the Dublin, GA area. We had actually received calls from other people who saw the pair roaming freely around the neighborhood with each person also reporting that Iris had suffered an injury that left her left eye bulging out of her eye socket. When we were able to get Iris, she was immediately rushed to our vet's office and had to undergo surgery to have her eye removed. Attempts to locate her previous owner yielded no positive results and the the family decided to keep her son and give him a home.

Iris has recovered from her injury and has adapted very well to having only one eye. She's a very playful affectionate girl who also gets along great with other dogs. She loves to snuggle, run and play. When she gets excited she jumps around in such a happy, playful way. She is just a little bundle of love and will make a great addition into just about any home.

Iris has now been spay, received an update on all of her annual vaccinations, de-wormed and treated against parasites. She also tested negative for heartworms and has been kept current on her monthly flea/tick and Heartworm preventatives. She is accustomed to staying in a crate but does need additional work on her house training.
