The owner of the pups had left a piece of paper which listed information about them, including their date of birth and breed mix, and stated that only received a basic de-worming. With the Tractor Supply getting close to closing time, Scott asked the manager what they were going to do the pups once they closed? The manager said the owner had promised to come get those leftover pups but admitted that he had not even called all day to check on them. Scott pointed out anyone who would simply leave pups for whoever wanted one, not caring who those people were or what their intentions may be, most likely would not return for them. A call was then placed to the owner, who, surprisingly, claimed that he was not going to make it back to the store before they closed. This left the store manager with only one option: simply leave the pups outside and hope they'd be OK. A customer who overheard the conversation between Scott and the manager offered to take one of the pups, leaving four with a very uncertain future. Scott then spoke with the owner and gained verbal permission to take the remaining four pups to SoCo Rescue. Koda is the little alpha pup of this litter and she takes great pride in being the leader. She's not mean to her siblings, she just likes being the first in everything and anything they do. She's smart, loveable and so much fun to play with. Koda has now received all three of her first year puppy vaccines, rabies vaccination, been de-wormed and treated for parasites. Her adopter must agree to having Koda spay once she reaches 6 months of age and provide verification of such to our rescue. She will also require all of her basic training.
