****Lexi is being fostered in Pennington, NJ and will be available for adoption in the New Jersey and surrounding areas. Questions about Lexi or our adoption process should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com. Please do not call the shelter in Georgia. You can apply for the adoption of Landon by clicking on this link: https://www.socorescue.com/forms/form?formid=1628 We received a call from a woman who was interested in saving a dog from the euthanasia list at Laurens Co. A.C. The woman said if we could save this dog, who would later be named Lulu, then she would adopt her immediately and give her a great, loving home. Of course, we were more than happy to help and cherished being able to remove a dog from the Laurens Co death row. Once Scott Bennett got LuLu to her new home, he noticed something that no one else had: LuLu was pregnant! On May 23, 2022, LuLu became the proud mom to 9 beautiful and healthy puppies. At first, LuLu's adopter was going to foster the pups, but quickly discovered that 9 little babies was just too much for her to watch over. She contacted another rescue, who said they'd take in the newborn pup along with LuLu so she could nurse the pups; once LuLu weaned the pups, the rescue would return her to the adopter. Unfortunately, the other rescue never came through with their promise, never returned any calls, so it was SoCo to the rescue again. As quickly as possible, and once we were able, we took all 9 pups into our rescue. A real head turner, Lexi will have you being the envy of your dog community. And not just because she's so darn cute, but because she so extremely friendly and sociable. Let Lexi fill your days with smiles and love!. Lexi has now received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccines, routinely de-wormed and up to date on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives Her adopter must agree to having Lexi spay by the time she reaches 6 months of age and provide verification of such to SoCo Rescue.
