**ADOPTION PENDING** This pup was chosen to be on our Freedom Flight vis FlyPups (www.FlyPups.org) from GA to NJ for our August 20 & 21st Adoption Event at Dogs & Cats Rule in Pennington, NJ. If interest, please submit an application at www.SoCoRescue.com (no need to login). Please no phone calls. This was our Dumpster Litter, a kind lady named Amber found the puppies when she was throwing out her garbage at the local dumpster. Unfortunately, it's very common in this rural part of GA for people to dump dogs at the dumpster. They were very skinny, scared and living off of disgusting fish remains. She contact Scott at SoCo Rescue and he came out to check it out. They had to be caught so we needed as many people possible to help. Amber called her friend Andrea to help. Thankfully they were able to catch all 4 of them & we were happy to name 2 of the puppies after the ladies that went above & beyond to help these poor puppies. Understandably, they were very skinny and filled with worms. We came close to loosing the entire litter but they showed us that they had a strong fight to live. Thankfully they all made it and are now strong playful puppies. They will need room to run & play in their new home. Right after her intake, the worms and parasites that she contracted while living at the dumpster site almost cost Angel her life. Scott Bennett decided to personally tend to Angel, often up late hours into the night, as he was determined to save this little pup. It was while she was under his care that she earned her name after the very sweet and loving personality that came shinning through while she fought for her life. She continues to be a very sweet and playful pup and will grow into being a great family companion with proper training. Angel has had all three of her first year "puppy" vaccines, routinely de-wormed and up to date on preventatives. Her adopter must agree to having Angel spay once she reaches 6 months of age and provide verification of such to our rescue. Given her previous life at the dumpster and the amount of hook and round worms that she's had, we strongly recommend she be tested for them every three weeks until receiving a clean bill of health.
