Description:
This pup was chosen to be on our Freedom Flight vis FlyPups (www.FlyPups.org) from GA to NJ for our August 20 & 21st Adoption Event at Dogs & Cats Rule in Pennington, NJ. If interest, please submit an application at www.SoCoRescue.com (no need to login). Please no phone calls. This was our Dumpster Litter, a kind lady named Amber found the puppies when she was throwing out her garbage at the local dumpster. Unfortunately, it's very common in this rural part of GA for people to dump dogs at the dumpster. They were very skinny, scared and living off of disgusting fish remains. She contact Scott at SoCo Rescue and he came out to check it out. They had to be caught so we needed as many people possible to help. Amber called her friend Andrea to help. Thankfully they were able to catch all 4 of them & we were happy to name 2 of the puppies after the ladies that went above & beyond to help these poor puppies. Understandably, they were very skinny and filled with worms. We came close to loosing the entire litter but they showed us that they had a strong fight to live. Thankfully they all made it and are now strong playful puppies. They will need room to run & play in their new home. Amber was the first to be caught and one day before her siblings were. This just meant that she got to start enjoying the love that some people can give to a puppy a day earlier than her siblings. Since that day, she has grown to love being around people and should continue in her progress of becoming a great family companion. Give her the proper training that she needs and you'll have one very fantastic addition into your family. Amber has received all three of her first year "puppy" vaccines, routinely de-wormed and up to date on her monthly preventatives. Given her previous life at the dumpster and the amount of hook and round worms that she's had, we strongly recommend she be tested for them every three weeks until receiving a clean bill of health.
